Michael G. Jones has been Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Marital & Family Law since 1991. He became a Fellow in the Florida chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 1994. Additionally he is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator, is recognized by Martindale Hubbell with their highest rating of “AV” and has been designated a Super Lawyer for the years 2006 through 2010. While some lawyers may “dabble” in family law, at Michael G. Jones PA, nearly 100% of the practice is devoted to family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support matters, alimony claims, enforcement actions, pre-nuptial or post-nuptial agreements.

In addition to representing clients at the trial level, Michael had also been involved extensively in representing clients in the appellant court. One of the more significant cases that Michael has been involved in is the case of Rosen v. Rosen, 696 So.2d 697(Fla. 1997). That case was argued all the way to the Florida Supreme Court. It is now considered a very significant precedent and is perhaps one of the most frequently cited cases in Florida family law.
